Home-kitchen preparation
Food listed on CraveLocal is prepared by independent local chefs, often in private residential kitchens. Where a chef is marked Permit on file, they have submitted documentation indicating they hold a local county permit (such as a MEHKO or Cottage Food permit). CraveLocal verifies the presence of these documents but does not guarantee ongoing health compliance.
Allergen acknowledgment
Chefs disclose allergens per dish, but home kitchens are shared spaces. Cross-contact with peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, sesame, fish, and shellfish is possible even when a specific allergen is not listed. If you have a severe allergy, please contact the chef directly via their external links before purchasing.
Pickup & handoff
You are responsible for coordinating pickup directly with the chef through their external links. You are responsible for the safe transport and storage of food after pickup.
Platform role
CraveLocal is an informational directory and discovery platform that connects independent local chefs with neighbors and creators. CraveLocal does not process food transactions, take commissions on food sales, or prepare, inspect, or transport food. All purchases occur entirely off-platform. CraveLocal is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or food safety of chefs or buyers.
