Microenterprise Home Kitchen Operation (MEHKO) permit

Issued by Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Environmental Health

Up to 30 meals a day, 90 meals a week, and $100,000 in gross sales a year. Permits must be renewed every year. Until Dec 31, 2026, or until funds run out, LA County waives the $597 application review fee for up to 1,000 first-time permittees.
